Local Community Projects

The Highland Park Fire Department’s Coats for Kids drive will collect new or gently used coats to be given to local families in need.  Donations will be accepted until Feb 1st, at the drop box located in the front lobby of Fire Station #33, 1130 Central Avenue.

This annual toy drive, sponsored by the Marine Toys for Tots Foundation, collects donations of new toys to be distributed to children in need through the area.  City Hall and the Fire Department will host collection boxes.  

The library is collecting toiletries for high-need families receiving case management services from the library. The following link provides details on the requested and distributed items. SaLT serves over 100 families each week with groceries and essentials

If SNAP benefits aren’t released next month, many families will lose the support they rely on to eat.

These are the basics we’ll need to provide through Shop N Drop: rice, beans, pasta, canned goods, peanut butter, potatoes, and more.

Every dollar helps us buy and deliver these essentials directly to families.

Support neighbors in need while shopping for your family - donate to the City's food drive benefitting the Moraine Township Food Pantry and the West Deerfield Township Food Pantry! Donations of unopened and unexpired food or household essential items will be accepted at City Hall (1707 St. Johns Ave.) and at the Public Services Center (first floor, 1150 Half-Day Rd.) during typical walk-in hours, 8 AM to 5 PM at City Hall, and 7:30 AM to 4:30 PM at the Public Services Center.
